Constructed in 1967, Hollong Bungalow was renowned for its unique location deep within the forest, offering guests close encounters with wildlife such as one-horned rhinoceroses and elephants. The lodge’s destruction has deeply saddened the tourism community and wildlife enthusiasts alike.

In response to the incident, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has called for a comprehensive investigation into the fire. The state government is also considering plans to reconstruct the bungalow, aiming to restore its legacy and continue to attract nature lovers to the region.([Telegraph India][3])
